Bill Carmody is
the President and Chief Seeker of AlterSeekers, a marketing services firm that
integrates technology with alternative marketing strategies and tactics. Prior
to founding AlterSeekers, Mr. Carmody was the founding partner and Chief Marketing
Officer of Seismicom, a leading brand promotions agency. He is the highly acclaimed
author of the book Online Promotions and the whitepaper Wireless Promotions: Future
vs. Fantasy. He is a contributing writer to publications such as PROMO Magazine
and Event Marketer and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Ad Age, B2B,
and Sales & Marketing magazines. A distinguished keynote speaker, Mr. Carmody
has presented at dozens of industry conferences and tradeshows across the globe.
For
the past 15 years, Mr. Carmody has focused on integrating wireless, online, sponsorship,
events, and traditional disciplines. He has been instrumental in the development
of new products for the consumer side of Internet promotions including instant
win, contest, and sweepstakes game engines.
A leader in the promotions industry,
Mr. Carmody began his career in 1994 when he began launching and managing several
corporate web sites while working for companies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Modem
Media, and Marden-Kane. He has held various board member positions at the Promotion
Marketing Association including his current position as chairman of the Digital
Center of Excellence.
Mr. Carmody has developed and implemented award-inning
promotion marketing programs for companies such as 3Com, ABC, AOL, AT&T, Boeing,
CA, Campbells, Cingular, Clearwire, Citibank, ConocoPhillips, Dole, Dreyers,
Exxon Mobile, HP, IBM, Microsoft, M&M Mars, Netscape, Pfizer, Samsung, SanDisk,
Showtime, Visa, Xerox, and Zima.
